The Dogg Pound get the rare OBBHA shut-out as they continue to play well.....

The Dogg Pound vs Grizzlies....does a Grizzlie shoot blanks in the forest! They did on this night as the Dogg Pound pressed hard for 9 goals and kept the Grizzlies to the outside for most of the match. However the Grizzlies have some shooters and some play-making abilities that had the barkers scrambling a few times. A post was as close as they got and the Dogg Pound celebrated with cause for the complete game they played in both ends of the playing surface.

Professional Slackers vs Epic Fail....a rccipe for a Slackers win as they never stop working. Epic Fail did match the work ethic at times, but the Professional Slackers collected the win 14-3

Young Guns vs Buzz Kills...Young Guns moved the ball around at will for a 17-4 over a improving and hard working Buzz Kills. The Young Guns were buzzing most of the night, but there were moments the buzz was killed.

Green Hornets vs The Gong Show...game of the night. A tight affair even though the Green Hornets never trailed. The Green guys looked impressive at times, but the Gong Show stayed in this one right to the end. Karine Hebert in the Green Hornets net out-dueled Moe Rivet in the Gong Show net 5-4.

Les Woder vs Flames...Les Woder took a page out from the Professional Slackers work ethic page to outlast the Flames 7-2. The Flames ran out of gas due to injury and some long shifts that came back to haunt them in the third period as the OBBHA non-stop game will do that to you. Kudos to Les Woder for their quick changes and high energy level.

Epic Fail come oh so close as the Grizzlies outlast them 13-11 in thriller game......

Les Woder vs The Gong Show....in the surprise result of the night the Gong Show played a whale of a game in a 4-4 tie. Les Woder brought their usual fast paced game, but the Gong Show kept up! An undisciplined play by Les Woder cost them a penalty shot late in the game when they were up 4-3...and the Gong Show capitalized to knot the game at 4-4. Both goalies were outstanding in this low scoring end to end game.

Buzz Kills brought out a big bench for the first time while the Flames came out with a short one. Predictable result as the Buzz was good for a 9-4 pasting. Kudos to the 6 Flames who gutted out the tough OBBHA rules hour!

Epic Fail vs Grizzlies.... Epic Fail who have one franchise victory and a tie in their OBBHA careeer held the lead after two periods of play finally succumbed to the Grizzles 13-11 in a wild one. The scoring came fast and furious and the crowd was on the edge of their seats until the final minute of play.

Professional Slackers basically brought a work ethic that just wore down the Green Hornets 11-4. An honest win by a relentless group. Everyone went home exhausted.

The French Palace was rocking with loud crowds cheering on their teams.........

A crowd, but a quiet crowd, enjoyed a well played game between the Professional Slackers and Les Woder. Some friends playing against each other made this match something about bragging rights at stake. The Professional Slackers took this one 7-4 in a very hard working encounter.

They Young Guns doubled up on the Grizzlies 10-5 in an end to end game with exciting sequences of play....not mention a great save or two.

The loudest crowd of the night came out to cheer on Epic Fail to a 19-7 loss. The Green Hornets soaked up the atmosphere and laughed along. The French Palace can rival the old Chicago Stadium once the place is hopping with excitement.

The next loudest game was of no great surprise....the Dogg Pound. They barked and bayed at great plays and saves...and well at anything we guess. 8-1 over a bewildered Flames team that once again showcased the most acrobatic goalie in the Spring league (Devin). They need to generate some offence without giving up their solid D....Nico and Struts are rumoured to be on the way into the line-up next Monday to help with that!

Buzz Kills vs The Gong Show....very familiar rivals. Another great game between the two. The crowds had filtered out by this time and they seemed to have taken some Buzz Kills players with them as they had a very small bench for the match. The Gong Show were all over this in a 13-6 thumping.

There was a Spring in everyone's step as Monday Night Spring Session begins.....

The Young Guns are a little older and maybe even a little wiser...as they used ball control and long cross passes to dismantle the aways fun and hard running Epic Fail. 14-6 game that filled with lots of laughter.

Game of the Night belonged to Green Hornets 9-7 win over Les Woder. This was tight one even though Les Woder had a short bench. 7-7 until the final minute of play when the winner was scored followed by an empty netter.

Flames vs Grizzlies...one of the more compelling OBBHA games ever witnessed. Usually the OBBHA game features quite a few goals. However this one was goaltender battle. The Grizzlies are back and with a netminder...he is good! The Flames were put together by online registrations which usually results in a team that takes a few sessions to get sorted out and become a team to reckon with. But the Flames are back-stopped by an OBBHA veteran goalie Devon O'Grady and he held a shut-out unitl the final minute of play. His sensational effort was just good enough for a 2-1 win! No not a keying error....2-1.

Buzz Kills came in with a short bench and the Professional Slackers never slacked off as usual. The Slackers are working hard in the background to market their new T-shirts...but worked hard for an 11-7 win. The only questionable play was goalie Chris Rutt letting Struts score.

The Dogg Pound are back and barking. The barked their way to a 7-2 win over The Gong Show. Moe Rivet was outstanding in the Gong Show net or this one could have been in double digits!

The Monday Night Spring Session starts on April 23rd. See the schedule.........

A-Div Finals: In order to get to the Blues vs Ottawa 69's finals a number of wild games took place to get to this. Road Apples lost a gut-wrencher to the Blues 5-4. The Godfathers and 69's tied 4-4 in a great match that left the door open for the Blues to go through. An unlikely 4-3 win by the Blues over the Godfathers. The 69's did eke out a 7-6 win over the Blues in the round robin after dropping a regular season game to them. On this championship night the Blues came out with a strong bench while the 69's were depleted by injuries. The 69's gave it the old OBBHA try but did not have the horses as the Blue cruized to a 10-5 win.

B-Div Finals: The Wise Guys were just happy to be there after such a surprisingly good session. The Wild Dawgs wanted to get back up on their perch after missing the top four fun in the last session....after taking the championship 4 out of 6 tries. On this night they held 3-1 and 5-3 leads at the period breaks and held on for an 8-5 championship win. Great to have that feeling again boys?!

3rd seed in the A goes to the Road Apples....you should have seen the ex-game against the Blues! The Godfathers were in Philly for the weekend representing our fine city in a ball hockey tournament and could not get back in time.....

3rd seed in the B goes to the Execuitve Golf team for an 8-5 win over Tsunamis even without their captain who is home sick. Chris would be proud boys!

5th seed for the A goes to the Ottawa Dangleitis for their exciting 5-4 win over Macouns. Macouns have been steadlily improving over the years and they are looking really good these day. The difference in this one just might have been Trevor Polk's "dangle" that drew some "oohhs" from the crowd.

5th in the B goes to the Green Hornets for their impressive 12-2 win over Moscow Selects. The Selects celebrated at the bar as usual anyways.

7th in the A goes to Les Woder for a 7-6 win over Les Incompetants...this could have been the game of the night for the entertainment level was very high.

7th in the B goes to the Godsons! 11-9 over Mad Scramble. Goals were fast and furious in this wild shoot-out.

9th to the Professional Slacker for a 9-5 win over the Devils.

9th in the B to Buzz Kills for an 11-5 win over Gong Show.
